Beginning Calligraphy|Handlettering

What you will learn:

Week 1 – learn how to hold calligraphy pen, how to determine the size of letters, and some quick calligraphy exercises to get the learner comfortable with the pen. The “c” family of letters will be introduced. The students will have a week to practice at home.

Week 2 – Introduction of the “i” family of letters. Students will learn about spacing the letters both within words and between the words.

Week 3 – Students will learn the balance of the alphabet and how to incorporate “illumination” into their projects. Perfect for embellishing name cards at the Thanksgiving table or for holiday gifts.

Week 4 – Capital letters and numbers will be introduced.
